Yes, Stanadyne has a cetane booster. Additive manufacturers will show you all their test results that prove that ATF or MMO or two-stroke oil isn't as good as their product. IMHO it may work well as a lubricant, but if you're going to spend money on something to add to diesel fuel you might as well spend it on something with a cetane booster. As I said before, the mileage improvement on the Jetta wasn't just measureable, it actually more than paid for the additive.
Yes I totally agree on a good additive and money should not be considered to much.
What I am thinking is the comment that even with a additive you came across as it just makes it almost as good as fuel use to be. So what about adding in a little 2 stroke or marvel with a additive.
I figure then it also gets into how much to add and can you add to much? I mean they do burn oil and newer motors with sensors I would not attempt this.
