Can you tell me if your name is vinyl or real gold left. If vinyl how long has it been on and has it faded?

Hi Rusty,
"REPOSADO" has been on since December 2013 and have no fading that I can see, but they don't face the sun either; others may have a different experience. So I have not hit the two year mark. I am happy, in large part due to the cheaper price and flexibility; I can't rule out re-doing it in real gold leaf in the future if I keep the look.
For reference, I got them from boat-lettering.com for a total of $186
100" x 14" black and metallic gold shadow vinyl $137
60" x 4" black $40
It was so cheap that I put it on myself thinking that if I botched it, I would just reorder--so far so good! I know the gold leaf is better and lasts longer, but I do change my mind occasionally about stuff like names. Was quoted $1,100 for local "gold turned" product.

I knew this was coming, Eric! Lots of beautiful work here, but Smooth Move is a personal favorite.

It's vinyl. I've only had the boat for a year so I can't say how long the name has been on but there is not much fading.

She still looks great. Hows the bulkhead looking. I love all the teak back there but what a chore to keep it up.
