This looks like one of the better 53s I've seen, and Virginia Yacht Brokers have sold this boat a number of times. Has anyone seen this boat? Thoughts? Price continues to drop. I noticed one of the 8v71s has 800 the other 3900. How difficult are parts, or getting a rebuild done? Also a WAG on rebuild price? I'm guessing 40? Thanks

It sure looks clean, all the machinery spaces look great. Only downside from my point of view would be no tender, but there are solutions to that. I didn't see a price.

I have been onboard a few years ago (before corvid). It was two sales ago . Looked very nice very clean ..I think it is a good value .

I toured it in the fall, fairly nice boat. Was in a shed so lighting wasn’t great.
I spoke to the broker about a month ago and it was under agreement. Not sure if that is the latest as we have made an agreement on another 53.

She was surveyed by a buyer a few weeks ago. He must have passed.

Probably the 3900 hour engine is being looked at as about to blow but it could be in perfect running condition. Buyers can be weird like that. If everything else has check marks checked and its clean could be worth it if everything else is nice. We spent more on upgrades on Esperanza over the years than it would have cost to rebuild both 8-92's. Nice boat with great running high hour engine (71 series at that) and maybe looking at $50K of love to the untouched engine? Make an offer asking for just half the rebuild cost off of asking. Saying this based on me not knowing if the 199K ask is reasonable or not.

I looked at Starfire (name then, not sure if the same name now) around the time COVID was starting up. Probably the nicest 1510 I have ever seen. I tried to buy it but got beat to the punch by someone who put in an offer before me, so ended up getting a different one that is also a very nice boat not far away in VA. Starfire had stabilizers though, and mine does not, so all things being equal those would have been nice to have.

I looked at the boat last June when it first came on the mkt . Made offer with no counter from Seller. Offer was much higher than current asking price. Feel free to pm me.

Last buyers realized this was not the right boat for them. Engine and hull surveys were completed with no major drama. Seller wants it gone. Ask is now $199k.
