Does it still have the chrysler engines? How long is it going to be in the yard? I would like to see it.

Don told me it should be there about 3 months or so.

Going to do some fuel tank work among other things I believe.

That looks like a sweet one :D

Wow, what a beautiful boat. If that paint job looks half as good in person as it does in the pics it would be breathtaking. I'm guessing that it still has the gas burners in there considering that there is fuel tank work to be done (ethanol issue).

She's a beauty. Is she hauled out in NC? I've been considering paintnig my hull a dark blue. This gives me some ideas.

Hey, another NC boat!

We may need to organize some sort of rendezvous...maybe take over the Beaufort waterfront.

First round at the Dockhouse is on me :D

I'll join ya, second round is on me. The boat is at Swan Point Marina in Sneads Ferry for those interested. By the way Boss Lady is getting a dark blue hull, so if you come down after it is painted, you can see two Hats in blue. :D

Wow, two rounds at the dockhouse! Sounds like a trip down from the Chesapeake is in order. Hope to have the Baby Grand in the NC area Jan -Mar - lots still to see/enjoy. You all are in a great spot. Maybe we can get the gang here on the bay to go for a "home and home" fishing event this spring. Regards, Bob K

Hey Rick,

I'll belly up to that too! Sure miss that part of NC. We'll have the boat either back at Carolina Beach or N. Myrtle sometime late spring. Give us plenty of advance notice, please! It would be great to get together with you guys.

A gathering for the Hatt guys on this forum in the NC area sounds like a great idea. We can't let the Florida folks show us up. Count me in.

Fl guys will always show up the rest. besides our only interruptions in boating are hurricanes, none this year and season doesnt start up again until june 07

My dad is in Wilmington. I might make it out there soon. Can I come?

Thanks for the compliments guys. Thanks to Paul for Putting her pics up. Repowering from 454's to most likely Yanmars. Definatly going to inspect and probably recoat fuel tanks. Pulling engines on Tues. No turning back now!

Hi Don, It was nice meeting you yesterday at the boat yard and I really like your Hatt! She is really gonna fly with that much power! LOL :D

Don's boat is actually Black. It looks real good in person, much better than the photos. I talked with him yesterday and he said it does get warm in the sun. I am having the entire boat insulated so Dark Blue will not be a big problem, but you need to keep that in mind especially if you are in a warm climate like we are down south.
