My dentist mentioned "Dawn" today, but he didn't mean the Chairside's name.

Well, we all know that "Dawn" is the all purpose cleaning, etc. fluid; that and WD40. No, Duck Tape is not a fluid.

Today I am in the dentist's chair for an extended period and there is a lot of chatter to listen to, while you are waiting on some procedures. At any rate, they are rattling off techniques for installing a "crown" to a new chairside. Do this, wait on that, etc. Then I hear "...and coat it with Dawn, because it makes it clean and slippery." Time goes on and there is a break, in the action. I ask my dentist "Did I hear you mention Dawn? Did you mean Dawn detergent?". "Yes I did" he replies, "its a special cleaner that is good for certain greasy materials". "Well,.." I said, "...that is interesting, because I also use it on my boat for installing impellers. I guess it is an all purpose cleaner and liquid". He then says "I'll bet it make suds on the water!".

And you thought you were being creative using it for dishes, grease clean up and impellers. Whatever the Marketing Manager for Dawn is doing, he sure better never let them change the chemistry of it. It has a lot of friends.

Quincy,
Are you still feeling the effects of the laughing gas? I just wondered. :)

Don't forget blowing really big bubbles!

It's been banded from using on fuel spills in California. Seems it takes the fuel to the bottom where it stays.

Not legal in New York on Lake Champlain.

Nothing is legal on the water of Champlain. Yer lucky you can have a boat on that lake.
