Hatteras Model
53' EXTENDED DECKHOUSE (1983 - 1988)
Hello:

Looks like one of my temp gages bit the dust. Does anyone know of a contact who rebuilds the AC gages? Anyone have one for sale? Thanks!

Don, There is an instrament shop in Ft. Lauderdale that sells new, rebuilds old and can calibrate any of them. The company name escapes me right now (probably old timers disease) but I will get it for you unless some of our HOFers in Fla know them. They replaced and/or repaired all the gauges in the pilot house of a large Burger Yacht that I crewed on a few years ago. My nephew was the Captain and I am sure he has their contact information. Right now he's delivering a Tug boat from San Diego to the Columbia River, but they should be there by the end of the week....I'll post it then.

Don

I do not have that Gage but call Sams and talk to Mike. Go to a parts house who sells ac deco parts NOT auto zone or advance that stuff is all imports. Wont find it there. That gage is popular among mud trackers you know want to be Nascar boys who fight in the pit. BUBBas!!!!

I had a temp gauge on the flybridge go out. On examination I discovered that it was not electrical, but rather "mechanical" with a capillary tube running to the "sender" plugged into the water jacket of the engine. It is all one piece. I purchased a replacement from Sam's but have not installed it yet. I do not see how it could be readily over-hauled.

Thanks for the help and support guys! The parts are on the way from Lauderdale Speedo now.
