Tablet to Run Active Captain Off Line

I have used Active Captain online only so I don't know how any of those apps work. I have a Microsoft Surface tablet that did not have flash on it in January but it was added by one of the updates and now Active Captain works.

Look up the ASUS Transformer tablet. I use the 1st generation (2yrs old now about) with the docking keyboad thing. It's best of both worlds...a tablet, and a real keyboard/trackpad like a laptop. It replaced my personal laptop

I finally got an ipad to replace my defunct laptop/tablet convertible. The new ipad version of the Garmin app (includes active captain) is great. my routes and saved tracks were automatically synched from my phone

For on board use, myRadar, WindAlert, and WindFinder are great tools

I got the cell version to have the GPS chip and 128gb storage waiting for the waterproof case to arrive and I ll be all set. Don't think i ll activate the data service since I have a AT&T data card that I use on board with a router
