  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' LRC (1975 - 1981)
I need to replace the stop solenoid on my 471N. Will probably pick up a spare to have around as well. I'm away from the boat and need to know whether it's a 12V or 24V part. Anyone have a clue?

Detroit marine shop has both in stock - just need to know which one to order. The rod coming out of mine is breaking off - and I'd rather be proactive in fixing it.

'79 58' LRC.

Thanks!

Assuming your dc system is 32v, a 24v solenoid will work since the duty cycle is so low. I don't know if a 32v solenoid is even available. My 53MY dc system is 32v and the solenoids are 24v on both 8v71n's.

See if you can buy one of each and return the one you don't need.

What voltage are your battery banks??

I got mine at:

If you have your old one, they can get you the proper replacement. Nice folks. Might be worthwhile to double check the price too. I also got a nice mousepad along with my order.
