Looking at the max weight specs on this gypsy, I would be worried about it holding your Hatteras in place. Spec sheet says 60,000 lbs max. I'm not sure about your 53 but on my 63 with a full load of fuel and water I'm just over 100,000 pounds.

With my wife’s clothes and jewels were well over 70,000 pounds. I agree with Ron it might be a little late for a 53.

12 volt??

24v at least , if not 32. we are 63000lbs 1/2 fuel and water. you have a harness onboard for both helms from the factory.

Does that include the wife?

My 48MY is 53,000 pounds with 50-60% fuel load. I would also suggest 3/8" 4G chain.

Bobk

44 lb anchor max. ? seems light for 53 ft Yacht.

It says 44 to 99lbs anchor so it should be fine is for a 53, a 53 should below 60k lbs

I have zero experience with Anchorlift, i m going to replace my galley maid soon and will be sticking to a known brank like maxwell Muir or lewmar

Two other points... make sure mst components can be serviced withiut pulling the while thing.... i recently broke the chain stripping claw on a maxwell, the whole thing has to come out to replace it. Major pita And if you dont have a bow thruster consider a windlass with warping capstan

They are junk. Trust me. I own one.

Thanks. Lexmark or maxwell it will be. Anchor lift caught my eye due to the price. But I guess you get what you pay for
