NO but they did not pay him and I think they charge him the salvage bill!!!

I don’t believe the marina management notified anyone in the case of the scuttled boat. They salvaged it and told the guy never to come back.:p

Scary dude anyway…

i waked to other docks today and took a few pictures of some damage... 3 large boats, 2 that sunk (an 80ish yacht and a bertram 60).

there was also a Ferreti 62, still afloat but with heavy damage on the port side. the sides show more bursting than grinding, fiberglass looks very thin and there is a bunch of filler foam cubes... somehow, i don't think our old hatts are that flimsy. pictures i saw from last years huricane show heavy grinding before hull sides break.

pictures are here... bottom of the page.

That is a shame...the big boat with the wooden bow rail looks like it was a nice yacht before all this. As for the Ferretti, I did not think they were that lightly built! Not that I am in line to buy one, but if I were I would rather rebuild an older Hatteras MY and keep the difference for my other toys.

Now you know why you own a Hatteras......

That looks like gelcoat, a layer of CSM and then one layer of roving, a layer of mat and then core.

I don't want to ask how much that boat cost.....
