Polarized REVO's !

Eagle Eyes....good enuff for Nasa. I also drink a "boat load" of Tang.
Tang + Tito's Vodka = "Tangitos".

Nobody wears Randolph's or American Opticals? I was gonna pick up a pair of TRUE aviators for flying. Polarized and flying is usually a no-no because of the non-glass windows and not being able to read lcd's. Glass lenses are the way to go IMHO.

Cheap polarized from Wal-Mart.

The way I loose or break sunglasses I wouldn't benefit from any more costly pairs.

Hey that Tito's hand made Good stuff but to mix it with Tang??????? :-{

Count me as another Ray Ban fossil. Have worn them all my life and as you oldsters know some habits are hard to break. However, I also have been known to do the same thing as Capt. Bill, that is ,wear cheapos. I am very bad at keeping track of glasses and lose them regularly, hence no 200 dollar sun glasses for me. bruce

I have had great expereince with my Ocean Waves. They have been heavily abused being around saltwater nearly every day and hitting the deck numerous times. I have tested the warranty department a few times and they stand behind their product and then some. The only problem they couldn't help me with was the pair that fell overboard.

Polarized glasses are an essential piece of boating equipment. I can't count the number of times I have been coming in the pass listening to a boater calling SeaTow for directions in the pass. A pair of polarized glasses would have clearly led the way.

And for fishing....Couldn't do it without them.

Love the glass lenses since I am constantly cleaning Florida humidity (sweat) from them without scratching.

Check out Coyote USA. Very high quality polarized glasses, priced $40 - $80, so it won't completely ruin your day if you drop them in the drink. Light as a feather, and they will replace lenses for a nominal fee if you happen to scratch them. I've been wearing them for a couple years since we started to carry them at the pharmacy. The brand was recommended to me by a dock mate who is an optician. They are the brand that you see worn on The Sopranos, 24, and several other tv shows and movies. Here's a link to Coyote: http://www.coyoteusa.com/

I believe the best glasses ever are the free ones. I lose or destroy a pair or two a year. My wife 2 pairs a week. Don't ask about the kid.

I hope to be getting a pair of costa del mars for the boat but I have to figure out how to protect them. Any suggestions.

Freezer type zip-loc bag? Or leave 'em at home in a drawer?

Find a HD glasses case is about the best you can do.

If they float, if you can sit on them, if they have a built in finder beacon. I buy them. For some reason, We just can't keep sun glasses alive or home. Fort Myers flee market specials. Buy one get 4 free. About three trips a year. LOL

Costas usually come with a hard protective case that stays shut very well.
Use the back of your buddies soft cotton t-shirt to clean them since the front of yours should be dirty from releasing fish.

I use the Polar Optics which fit over my glasses. Extremely comfortable. These are the upgraded versions above the Walgreens version. My eye doctor has the walgreen versions.

I found that the Walgreen versions break at a certain spot on the temple on all the pairs that I owned. They are tight on my head (Guess I have a big head since I own a Hatteras) I've owned 6 pair of the Walgreen pairs.
And Polar Optics keeps fixing the Walgreen pairs as they broke including the replacements. I lose sunglasses on a regular basis. I must have a black hole somewhere, cause things just disappear. I buy things in multiples and I returned for warrenty repair in multiples too.

I ordered the next version up(24805 - $35) since I liked the view of the Walgreen pair($20). I left them in my van, and I found the ants liked them too. They chewed up on the temples of the glasses. (laughs)

The thing that I like about the Polar Optics is the side windows. They protect your eyes and give you the added edge view. Check them out at Walgreens or polaroptics.com to see what I'm talking about. I felt like I had horse blinders on with the other OVER the glasses sunglasses.

Just don't sit on them like I did this morning. I was able to fix 'em though.
