I'd think steady warmth would be good for any metal stored item. Worst situation would be an environment with widely varying temperatures...and possible condensation...like the one injector nozzles encounter in an engine shut down for the winter up north.....

That sintered bronze filter looks very similar to the ones used in my Webasto diesel heater.....a new one comes fastened with every fuel injection nozzle.

I don't know how big your heater's filters are, but they're probably similar. I should have put a coin in the picture for reference. The filter's diameter is about 2/3 that of a dime.
 
What's the point of carrying injectors if you don't know how to install them or have the proper tools? LOL "Where is this rocker cover thing they talking about?"

How about this scenario? You are at a port far from home. You experience engine troubles and call in the local diesel mechanic. He finds a bad injector but doesn't have one to replace it with and can't get one until next week.

Try not to be so pompous, Krush. Not everybody has mechanical ability and spare parts on a boat is almost always a good thing.
