OK ... I realize that I am very fortunate to have a village dock spot in Sag Harbor, N.Y. for next to nothing. But ... life circumstances have me doing a move to Fla. for the next several years. I thought of bringing the "old girl' south and maybe even living on her for a while. The marinas that I know (Bahia Mar, Pier 66, Marina Bay) are all CRAZY money !! Pier 66 would be 24K for a slip for the year for my 45C. My girlfriend has a blace in a canal with a slip, but it won't hold the 45. We have/had thought of selling that and getting a waterfront place with a slip to hold a 45.
At 2k a month to keep the boat ... the buying of a place with a bigger slip makes a ton of sense.
What marinas in the commutable to Ft Lauderdale area allow liveaboards and are reasonably priced ?
thanks
