Went to service the generator before re-installing the shield and discovered an exhaust leak. I don't have time to deal with it so the generator guy is coming to fix the leak. As soon as that's squared away I'll put it together and let you guys know how good this stuff works.

Exhaust leak fixed. Shield is installed. A little disappointed with the noise reduction...

All the panels went back in tightly and I was expecting more but it's still pretty loud. Of course without removing the salon carpet I can't get the back panel off the generator soundshield. So the back panel still has the 1978 fiberglass insulation on it AND that's the exhaust side. It would probably do a lot of good to be able to put the soundown on that panel. Maybe it's a good application for a blanket?
