Anyone with experience laying hardwood flooring in the salon, passageways, etc. Using the proper vapor barrier and angled nails is cupping an issue? Refitting the interior, the PO sadly painted, so I am in the process of replacing with mahogany. Latest project was to rework the curved staircase by adding another step to decrease the heights of the risers (bad knees). This necessitated yanking the old washer/dryer and replacing the doors. Currently finishing the 3 steps from the galley to the lower passageway and then will replace carpeting with the mahogany flooring. Going to cut larger access hatches to facillitate working in the bilges.
