I wonder if there is any Hatteras in longer continuous ownership than Groves' "Fanfare". Hard to imagine.

I think the contest I want to win is who owns their boat the longest from now.

Although I do like Bob's version on use. I wish I had time to run 3k miles a year. Bob may you have many more years enjoying her as you run all over the place. Very few people today get to do that.

I'm hoping to get there one day.

Thanks Scott. I'm hoping for a few more.... We start north again in a couple of weeks.

I guess I'm not going to win any contests. 41C from 1983-1987, 42LRC 2000-2010, 58LRC 2010-present. Milage a year about like Bob 3000.
However my 58 LRC may have the most miles on it. Went around the world 1998-2002 and then back and forth from New England to lower Carribean after that every year before I got her. Have no idea how many hours on the 6-71s but the radar has 8000 hrs and its 1998. And I've put 2000 on her so far.

I've had mine 10 years this year. Hardly worth mentioning. :p

I've had mine 10 years this year also.

New contest.. miles per year? I do about 3000 per year. Others?

New contest, cans of beer consumed on board?

Pathetically, I've only owned my Hatt 8 years.

Cans?

How about most bottles of rum. Live aboards excluded though.

How about gallons of fuel burned? Or most miles traveled on a single engine in a twin engine boat?

if we are going for cans of beer, it will be a close race between me and david fayard, they call his 53sf the beer barge in our big game fishing club tournaments

Most miles on a single engine in a twin engine... no contest..... Randy (Freebird) lol.

I think I have him beat. I ran on one engine from Deltaville Va to St Petersburg FL about 1300 mi.

And you started out that way.

But you had food and a competent mechanic on board.

We have had our 34' for since 1983 and have done all those good things. We even have spare engines
but see no need for them as these run strong and only run non-ethanol.
