  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
41' DOUBLE CABIN (1962 - 1965)
I’m sitting ten stories up in Myrtle Beach waiting for snow. :)

It’s amazing to see video from in from friends from Texas to Florida, and NC is rolling out the National Guard for the Eastern part of the state, including the OBX.

Flights through Myrtle Beach International are being canceled, and we are under a winter storm warning for this evening and tomorrow.

It’s colder than dammitt, but I braved the frigid front to secure blizzard supplies. It was brutal fighting people as supplies were being snatched from the shelves by shivering vacationers. I was lucky to make it back alive, but I’m ready.

The impending storm even blew my photo sideways. I hope I make it long enough to board a plane Friday morning for Orlando to make it to Canaveral on Saturday for my Caribbean cruise.

My body is going to be confused with these temperature extremes, but I think I’ll be fine.

Mid day today from my bud in Covington LA.
Snow on palm trees is just wrong.

I’m in Valdosta on the way to Clarksville TN for work. Wife tagged along in her car so she could see snow. Maybe some will go in her shoe so she no longer wants to see this crap ever again 😂😂

Youll be okay in Tennessee, but i understand there may be some problems around Atlanta.

The issue with snow in the southern states is this. They have zero snow removal equipment and a way toy sand or salt the streets for ice. A tractor with a bucket or heavy grading equipment can be used and was at times when I lived out side Chicago IL, it’s a slow moving vehicle not like a snowplow that can run 65mph with three or four staggered to clear a highway. So glad I live in Cape Canaveral, Fl no snow here. Though we are cooler 58high/46low
