skylight sunroof 43dc

Has anyone installed or built a large access skylight in their boat for better lighting, and more importantly appliance engine and furniture entry /removal?
Im tihnking of cutting a 3.5 x 5ft roof access in my 43dc and building a removable access skylight in the place. would make life easy for sure.. webasto makes them 43x 43 for 3500.00 for example.

Your boat is so nice and original, and to this point unmolested. Looks like that's gonna change. You will need that big opening to add the beefed up AC unit that will be required to offset the greenhouse that you're adding.

no historic value to the boat I see no reason why not to improve on the esthetics and performance ..
