I recognize that helm. It's the one that got away. LOL. Hope all is well Ron.

1976 58' YF, purchased as is. Everything with software needed an update but thankfully Simrad and others load updates to their webpages for free, so all the networked components now work well.

Upper Helm, chart plotter (runs Coastal Explorer) is in the box on the RH side:

LaConnor....I cruised through there yesterday around 11 AM!

Okay, here's mine. Steering wheel was relocated and repositioned from its original vertical position to slightly angled which allows more room between the helm and the pedestal as is normally found on flybridge stations. It also has single lever Morse controls mounted side by side which makes it very handy. All the gauges in the original dash are the original, Hatteras marked gauges. Best thing is, they all still work.

I've been contemplating doing away with the box above the original dash, lowering the helm seats to their original position (they were placed on pedestals as part of the refit to allow short people to see over that custom dash addition) so the foot rest actually serves a purpose. I have room above for another enclosure to house the current electronics (plus my 10" Garmin chartplotter), and it wouldn't obstruct my view. The VHF, hailer, and stereo are mounted into overhead drop-downs that keep them out of sight when not in use.

Actually, I didn't even notice the start date on this thread and was just playing along thinking it was new. What is a Pokemon?

I need to switch mine out to one like Sky's so I never have to leave the controls. Best idea ever.

I've never seen a Buick with right-hand drive before.

If that's minor I would love to see a major redo. Looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

'MMS and Accessories' has stainless Flange Cup Washers they can polish for you, stainless square-drives are easily polished on a buffing wheel. Still working on it, anyone have a new spare trim control for sale?
