Hatteras Model
37' CONVERTIBLE (1977 - 1982)
I have a 37C with the shore power connection in the cockpit. I connected the cord the other day, and had no power coming to the panel. I replaced the 2 slow blow fuses that are directly underneath the shore power connection in the cockpit and had power. My question is, there are 2, 30amp fuses for only one 30 shore power connection. Is one of them a spare? Thanks, Scott

I believe you need both to function ///

Both the black and white wire legs of each connection are fused. You need both fuses. I found that out when one of the fuse holders required replacent.
Be careful when you insert the fuse, as it is possible to bend the prongs which hold the fuse in the holder and render the fuse holder in need of replacement.
To my knowledge the holders are only available at Sams, and like most unique things, not inexpensive. Thankfully Sams has them and provides great service.

A boat in our marina had a fire when the wires that are connected to the back of the fuse holders over heated. I help the owner replace the fuses with 30 amp push button circuit breaker with weather proof caps. He got them at Defender in Waterford Ct the cost was about $10.00 each. West Marine also carry the same C/B's.
