....... for a boat doesn't always stop at the boat. I'll bet most of you and your checkbooks already know that. I am getting dangerously close to pulling the trigger on another 28" SF in the Annapolis area. As I already have one (a project boat) and as my pockets aren't so deep that I don't need to pay attention, I'm looking for a cost-effective way to get 'er drug here if I do take the plunge.

One way would be the normal marine transport route. Anyone out there had good luck with a transport company that is reasonably priced?

The other way I am considering involves a friend of mine who delivers travel trailers around the country. If I could find a fair priced trailer to haul a six ton Hatt in the Annapolis area, said friend could pick up the boat and trailer after dropping off a new travel trailer somewhere east of here. I'll be able to use the trailer here for one baby Hatt or the other, especially in storage season (most of the year, darnnit). Any leads? Thanks for your help. Howard in west Michigan

Howard, a 28 inch boat should fit in the back seat of your car!! Call this guy, he moves boats very reasonably. All sizes. Dave @ 586-463-7100 :)

Deep Water Transport of Washinton, NC has given me great rates and service. I have used them 3 or 4 times over the years. Give them a call...252-946-1215.

We've had good luck with J.O. Hudson Marine Service, Port Deposit, MD. 410-378-2676. Nice folks, fair prices.
