Shaft log cuttless bearing removal 53 MY

Does any one know the procedure for removing the cuttless bearing from the shaft log of a 53'MY? Mike

I have always used a hacksaw and slit the bearing lengthwise to releave the compression.Then drove it out with a large drift. Check for set screws on the side of the strut some had them.Putting them back is another issue. Bill
