Looking for suggestions:

I want to replace my secondary fuel filter (everything; including housing, not just element); looking for suggestions on what to replace it with. The engines are 130 HP diesel Cryslers. My primary is Racor Turbine Series Diesel. The current secondary is a Fram I think 1100 series. My current one has a air leak (I am sure it is the gasket), but I want to replace the whole thing with a simplier screw on type.

The current one is in a tougher location to work at and is messy to replace. Currently I have to take the lower portion off, take the filter out, fill it back up with diesel and then screw it back on and tighten the bolt on top. As I said I would like to replace it with a similar screw on.

Suggestions?

I changed the cannister type on my 12-71s with OEM spin ons from the DD dealer here. They were $20 each. The have multiple 3/8 npt ports for a variety of configurations. I also have hand primer plungers. I fill the spin ons with fuel about 3/4 full, then before seating them, pump a few times and they are full. Pretty simple IMHO... ws

The Baldwin web site has a bunch of filter bases that will work in any applacation.
