Savana Marina

We are new to East. Coast cruising so I thought I would ask you guys. We are taking our little boat up to Savana this week. I understand there is not any place to stay right in the city, is that true, also if not I guess there are a few marinas about 8 to 10 miles from the city. Any recommendations on those. My favorite spot in savannah where I ve stopped a few times is right downtown : the River street market dock. There is also a city dock next to it. Great spot. Only downside is there can be a few wakes from river traffic but it s not too bad.

Alternatives are one of the marinas in thunderbolt or the isle of hope marina.
