C'mon give the poor guy a break. I'm sure he was certain that he was in the right. Salebotes have the right of way over bridges, don't they?

As a side story, I was standing at the sailing hardware counter at Defenders here in Ct a few weeks ago, waiting for the guy in front of me to spend 15 minutes or so trying to decide whether to by the $250 widget or the $275 widget. (did I mention he was a sailor?) I just needed to buy a special cleat for an anchor davit I was building for my canoe. The clerk finally took pity on me and asked me if I had a quick question. I told him "It's no problem, I'm a power boater. I'm used to being stuck behind slow sailors."
