Roommate steels 41' sailboat

Leon the guy that works on my boat kept telling me about his roommate that recovered a sail boat after a storm ,and is doing the paper work to claim it . So he said and was talking about going to the Vergin Islands to work and live. Suddenly the mate was gone from the appartment and on his voyage , I kept telling Leon that one must prepare and have a good knowledge of boating and I said to him he'd be crazy to go on his own , little did we know that the boat was infact stolen and the whole story a lie ?
the Bird knows Leon and he has been a good friend for years Its crazy what people are doing in todays world.

That is quiet a story I guess some times you never know who people really are. Does any body else find it funny how many times randy comes up in posts on here. I bet the new guys wonder what that is all about. I hoped I could go to the boat show in fort lauderdale to see him again and others too. Maybe I can stop and say hello when I go back to Baltimore to see my kids for thanksgiving. Would I get into trouble if I said he shoudl start posting on here again.

it is perty crazy that some one would go to such lenghts to leave the country but then again they probubly didn't meet the Bird?

Here at the Miami Beach Marina, a couple of years ago, I saw my friend on his boat down the dock talking to a guy. Nice looking fella. He introduced me, and I went on down the dock. The next day, the guy was on the boat and I stopped to talk. Said my friend had gone back to Boston and he was staying on the boat and cleaning it up for him. Would I like a beer? Sure! I saw him all week long, drinking beer, reading, cleaning the boat. Week goes by and my buddy calls from Boston. I told him his friend was doing a good job on his boat. My buddy flips out and says he met that guy at the Marina bar the day he left and was just showing him his boat when I walked by. I walked off the dock, got some dockhands to guard the gate and called the cops. Next thing I know they got him cuffed and are walking him right by me. Wouldnt even look at me... Go figure...

It's crazy out there ? and lately it seems to be getting worse? they pushed the over nights out of our marina and it seems less safe with no one on the dock at night ? and they made us take the fish cleaning table down??? like it really hurt anyone??? sometimes the EPA gets a little carried away and puts the screws to anyone just for the fact of saying they are doing something??? kinda like the muscles in Georga??

Not just boats. My neighbor has a vacation condo in West Palm Beach. He hired a guy to paint the interior. About 6 weeks later, neighbor flys to WPB for some R&R. Tries to open the front door, but it's chained from the inside??? It's unchained by the painter dressed in his PJ's and the condo interior was a cluttered mess. The painter had moved in.... Oh - and only 1 room of was painted...

You gotta just shake your head. The only good part on both these stories is there was no malicious intent. Just two polite homeless guys looking for a place to hang.
