Whether healthcare is needed or wanted is beside the point, it is un-Constitutional, period. It simply is not the responsibility of the federal govt.

If you and your yacht club want to form some kind of healthcare social, go for it. You pay for it, you use it. If your local community, county or state want it, let the people who live there vote for it. If you live in a state where the people do not want it you have the freedom to move to a state that does. Don’t tread on me.

A Politian, whose primary motivation for everything is to get re-elected, is not someone to be trusted with such power. We all agree there is too much corruption in DC. Why would anyone allow them more money and more power to play with? It like turning over your family’s financial future to a used care salesman.

The more power we give the fed Govt the more freedoms we give up.

If healthcare was such a great thing they wouldn’t have to resort to Nazi type propaganda to nudge people to support it.

We need to elect leaders, not politicians.

Here is current experience....I am Canadian resident.

While at the boat in Nov in Ft Myers, I contracted a severe ear infection, at 8.30 in the am I contacted an ear specialist, had appointemnt at 1 pm same day, 1/2 hour treatment, 2 prescription s filled, follow up visit 2 days later with some treatment, total cost $250.00 include drugs.

Returned home 4 days later, called my ear specialist for appointment, "taking appointments for February" ....so. go to Hospital emergency dept for treatment, cost to health care system estimated at $1500.00, if I needed drugs, $65.00

Now, our health care system is in serious financial difficulty, the estimate for costs in 2050 at current rates of increase is that it will take 95% of the Governments total budget to fund it and we are # 30 in the world as to performance and delivery.

I suspect from reading the reports on your anticipated system that a financial administrative disaster is lurking there to be made even worse by
inept politicans, if one has to bribe for votes to approve something, disaster is not far behind. It just ain't right.

Name another country on the face of the planet that has the number of social programs and lax immigration law enforcement as the US. It's a whole different ballgame here than any other country you listed as being superior in addressing health care.

As always, one has too look and do some real research....I see that the UK is listed as #18....tell my Brother that who lives there...high taxes and sometimes months for an appointment with family Dr. wonder who puts these stats together ???, I think the reason the US is far down the list is because there is pay as you go service ( except for some) and this irks the Libs who like everyone to be treated the same and thus expect ones neighbour to pay for those who cannot. I have found better response to everyday health care issues in Jamaica and in Mexico as compared to Canada. We have walk in clinics here in Vancouver and the Libs want them closed, say it is "for profit" health care which is illegal in Canada , they ignore the fact that the clinic bills the Government the same fees as the regular Dr's and are more efficient. Anything that is more productive and efficient scares the Libs as it proves that we are not all stupid and dependant on others.

It just does not work. Our town borders Windsor ONT. Canada. Our good doctors are very busy taking care of sick Canadians. The British health care is a joke. The Swedes say theirs is not great and they have a flat 50% income tax. Now am I to believe that those idiots in Washington will do what no others have done. Maybe the secret lies in their 1300 page proposed plan. This whole thing is incredibly stupid period.
