Replacing vinyl window spline

Once removed what is the best way to replace the new vinyl window spline into the groove in the aluminum frames? The grooves are clean and free of any old sealants/caulk but I'm having trouble getting them to insert. Any ideas on using windex, liquid soap or other slippery fluids? Thinking about maybe squirting some dawn into the groove. Ideas??? Thxs

I couldn't slide it in the groove. I had to push it into place, inch by inch.

I used silicone spray on mine, both cloth and track. Found it helped with the slide
