My thanks to you all for your comments.
I am aware of the insurance and berthing issues. And, I think, I have those handled.
I am also aware of the underway catastrophe possibilities. And he risks involved.
I like to think I am a prudent mariner.
My question was whether piloting the boat singlehanded was practicable. It appears it is - with proper planning.

My daughter has been a prosecutor and criminal judge. Whenever I ask her opinion on something I’m contemplating she says “if you’re on trial civil or criminal the opposing counsel turns to the jury and say is that was a prudent man would do?” Can you really justify your actions? Whether what you have done is perfectly legal you still have to stand the test of prudence.
