Going to spend tomorrow here to restock and than head to St. Augustine on Tuesday as we start our trip back to Huron. If anybody has any local tips on destinations as we head north that would be great. Chris[/QUOTE said:
Depends on what you like to do. Give us some clues.

Alright an update to my original post. Arrived in Stewart on the 17th of July and had some major engine maintenance to do. Both heat exchangers removed and cleaned, one bundle was able to be repaired, sadly one was not and had to be replaced 18k later and all was good! Left for the Bahamas on the first of August and just got back to Fort Pierce today. Unbelievable how expensive the islands are! .50 a gallon for water, $70 for electric and up to $6 a foot for a slip! Fuel I don't even want to discuss. On the other hand for this Michigan native the Exumas are stunning! Where else can you feed wild pigs, sit on a dock at high tide with a shark and snorkel into caves. Compass cay and Staniel Cay are too of my favorites.

$6.00 a foot for dockage? Where all did you stay. If you could give us a little follow up on where you went and what the expenses were it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Tony

I think the most expensive slip was in Nassau, Highborne, compass cay and staniel. I think it was compass that it was a little over $1000 for two nights and we didn't get fuel. That was for slip, water, electric and ice. (And maybe a case or two of beer!)

$6 a ft ? Had to have been Cattleantis in nassau... Staniel is a bargain at $2.5 a foot, so is compass. Haven't been to highborne in a while but it s pretty cheap too.

Power, yes... Expensive. We usually average $70 to $100 a night with a 70 footer but we rarely dock while in the exumas. Anchoring is a lot more fun and cheaper

Fuel in Nassau is about $1 to $1.25 more than stateside. We never refuel elsewhere unless we really have to as it s another $1 more in the out islands
