45' CONVERTIBLE-Series I (1968 - 1975)
Hi there ...
Boat partner just called and said that we have a leak that is coming from a hose that runs fore/aft behind the outside berth and closet in the owners stateroom. Hose is approx 1/2" diameter and seems to be salt water. Anyone know what this might be ?
thanks

Hello - on each side of the boat, from the machine room forward bulkhead, run the fresh water lines (both cold and hot)
The are about 6 inches above the lower floor. But they were originally in copper, not hoses.

When I did remodel of my boat, did not found any salt water hoses. Head supply is under the floor to the forward bilge

Do you have the original air conditioning units. Maybe a self contain unit install on the closet area?

On mine, hung on the hull side (not laying on the hull bottom, but just up from the chine ) are two 1/2'' copper lines as well as numerous wires and cables. these are pressure fresh water lines. they clearly can be seen as they enter the engine room in the forward port side. shut off the water pump and see if the leak stops.

My '74 46C was the same as others have posted. There shouldn't be any raw water hose unless someone changed or added something. Are there salt water wash downs either on the bow or forward of the cockpit? The AC condensate lines should run to the sea chest in the engine room or the one on the starboard side near the forward stateroom locker. Have your heads been changed and could it be supply water?
