Question about Fresh Water Tank and Bilge

Thank you! And so sorry for my delay in responding. I do have a pressure accumulator. I need to look into that. Whatever my problem was, it burned out a $2,000 groco pjr12v pump. That is a bummer. I have a new pump in and my head and head sink have great pressure, but the galley sink does not… so trying to figure out what is up. Thanks for your help

check for a filter for the galley sink, most people dont filter the whole boat, just the one in the galley. i had a similar problem, hot water had great pressure, cold not so good. someone put a filter on the cols water line and it was clogged

There's another thread on the forum where someone said they were using shallow well irrigation jet pump for pressurizing their fresh water system. I was looking into these because my parents use one of these for their lawn irrigation in St Pete, and they're pretty simple from what I can find.

If your Hatteras convertible is designed like mine, it's conceivable that water could be getting down into the keel, which on many Hatteras Yachts was built hollow and filled with foam at the factory. The only way I know of to find this is to haul the boat and drill a hole in the lowest point of the keel and measure the water that comes out. Also, determine if it is fresh or salt. My boat had this problem, it turned out to be an inexpert repair of the keel done a while back before I bought her, and it was then properly repaired by us.
