Porthole treatment

I can’t remember if I posted this sometime ago or not. If I did my apologies. I wanted to have something easy on easy off placed on the portholes of the aft state room for privacy on cruise outs. There are a number of things that are on the market but I decided to go to tap plastic. I took the dimensions of the porthole and had them cut out the exact shape out of plastic. One side is gloss black the other is matte black. The matte black faces into the state room. A benefit that I was not aware of was the sunlight coming through the sides of the porthole making them glow. Got a pretty classy look I think.

That's pretty slick. Wife decided to put the mylar reflective pieces on ours as a summertime temporary measure, but used her Cricket machine and "sea glass frost vinyl" to cut out "river rock" silhouettes for privacy screens. While we were moving the boat from Stuart FL to Ft Myers, we stopped in Clewiston. She was changing in the stateroom and looked outside and said "I can see everyone at the bar"... Oh wait, they can see me! So she came up with this. Only on the side portlights in the master stateroom, but we think they're a classy privacy screen.
