Either Diet or regular Coke.

For a Hatt, Pepsi only!

The drink Pepsi was first introduced as "Brad's Drink" in New Bern, North Carolina, United States, in 1893 by Caleb Bradham, who made it at his drugstore where the drink was sold. It was renamed Pepsi Cola in 1898 after the root of the word "dyspepsia" and the kola nuts used in the recipe.

These old girls are heavy. Maybe tab or fresca is more appropriate.

How'd I ever make it this far without knowing all that? Good story, though. Every now and again I'll tell someone I don't know too well, maybe at a funeral or a yard sale, that I've thought long and hard and worked up the courage and made a major change in my life and what a life changer it was--real serious like. After pausing long enough to make sure they're getting good and uncomfortable, I'll tell em, "Yessiree, I switched from Cole to Pepsi." They don't come round much after that.

Some of the "engineering" I found when I first purchased my boat. The bilge is looking much better these days.

"Bilge pump wiring"
"Plastic thru hull" - yes, it is below the waterline
"Soda can pipe support"

Unless you have gas engines those blower hoses are not pulling out fumes. They need to be removed or raised way up to pull out heat.

Ya'll like to chirp hard like congress but don't investigate first. Two eye, two ears, and ONE mouth is what I tell the young'ns.

His boat isn't a hatteras. It also had gas engines.

And if the can leaks it will set off the co2 detector.

Craziest thing I've found on a new to me boat. Was the bilge float mounted on a 2x4 that was floating in the bilge.

Smart thinking, protects the switch/wires from any water intrusion😁

We lived in New Bern. Coke outsells Pepsi 3-1 there! Besides, who would order a rum and Pepsi over a rum and Coke! It just doesn't sound right.

You ARE kidding.... aren't you? If not, this elevates stupid to a whole new level, I have to say.

Hot damn Goober, I really feel enlightened about Coke/Pepsi. I especially liked Jay's (krush) comment about congress. Jay I'll bet you sit out on your porch (cockpit) in the evenings and sip some corn squesin's and spin yarns with your buddies. I really love this site.......lol

Yeeeeeee Hawwwwwww.

Just a bunch of poor country yachtsmen, that's us....

Now for the rest of the story! Pepsi had a bottling plant in New Bern, until a few years back when they shut it down and moved elsewhere. As far as I know the building is still empty. So much for community loyalty.

I'm finding all kinds of crazy things on this boat I just purchased, thought it might be fun to post some of stuff we all find. Here's a pic of what I found under the mid bilge hatch. Also, the boat has a battery switch switching two large ground wires, have yet to figure out how it works. Anyway, here we go.

What's that ring? Jody finally make you an honest man?

Well since we are getting technical let me Correct your post

It HAD GAS power.
It HAD engine's.

Cat women the Cat's out ;)

Hmmm maybe he should had put a Cat in there

Soon after buying our 60C I started on a wiring clean up project.
I ended up with enough wire that went from nowhere.....to nowhere......to fill up my Suburban. Previous "electricians" that install new equipment without pulling out the old irk me - almost as much as the fool that thought silicone seal was a good idea on a boat.
Damn near rubbed my fingers off by the time I got it all.

I just finally got around to having Sam's management remove the Cat, I can't go putting one back.
Plus, I was just following your lead with the Cummins ;)
