Sparkey, yes scott is the listing agent. "keeping it in the family"
It's great to have friends. I'm both happy and sad for you at the same time as for you selling your boat. You may have said this already, but where is she going?

Well the guy likes what he sees but now there is another person that wants it so I guess the first to plop down the money wins. I am going over on sunday and remove everything that is not going with it and possibly take out either buyer or both at the same time. Wish i could get another fishing trip, hate to let her go with full fuel tanks.

When we were shopping for the CC we found one that fit the bill and was a great price. It just so happened another guy showed up just before we did. I guess us sitting there was enough pressure on the first guy, he struck a check before we could even look at the boat.

Good luck
Tod

Dan,

I was aboard last week and checked the chairs too. It's hard to find the ones with the storage.

I hope this one goes well so Steve can start working on my boat. The listing agreement states that I supply him with a boat to work on. he knows where the keys are.

Yes they are hard to find I have one promised to me from Bob Magic Hat but I need to wait until he is ready to sell :(

No problem with the work part when Stve is done on yours send him to TN that will keep him busy :)

You are right. My boat is a basic training for the birdboat.

Years ago, my father sold his 36. this was a few years after he re-powered with Cat 3208. It was on the hard, in a shed at Riverside Marina off the Delaware river. On day, the owner of the yard is in his office, and he hears a boat start up, middle of the winter, in the shed, next to a lot of other boats in storage. Happens to have been our boat. The yard owner was rather upset. The prospective buyer said, "he just wanted to see if it would start" There went all the winterizing fluid out of the engine.

OMG! I would have KILLED him! I assume he paid to re-winterize the engines? You never touch anything on a boat without permission. You are just there to LOOK...not play with things...playing with things comes at survey...

That be the end of that sale!!!

Hard to sell to a Dead Guy ;)

Re-winterizing is not the problem. Actually since the boat was on the hard, no water came into the engines, coolant went out. The damage could have been or was to wasted impellers, clogged cooling system with impeller pieces, possibly burned hose in the exhaust system etc.

Never let anyone near your systems without making sure they understand what's ok to do and what's not. Remember the old saying "Jethro you get away from that wheelbarrow, you know you don't know nothin about machinery"

Seems everyone wants to turn the steering wheel on a boat for sale, so always a surprise when pulling out of the slip. Lower station in ours is independent and has a bypass lever so it is never engaged so not been a real problem on this one.

Not just buyers but everyone like to turn the wheel. I always check mine for center before I leave. I know my kid has touched it. Also to check it is not leaked out

I know that feeling very well as Ryan has played with mine on several occasions which left me coming out of my slip sideways. I put a piece of tape at BDC as a reference point, but he has a knack for making one full turn of the wheel. :D
