We are also planning to go!

I'll book Payne's next week once my family gives me the nod!

I thought we were family?

I'd love to join you guys this year, would be just what the doctored ordered - coming into city 5 days a week is depressing, vibe outside gets worse with every passing week. Wife due July 27th so I'm not even gonna pretend attending a possibility. Been enjoying the boat in meantime, glad we hung onto it for now. Doing allot of local tie-ups with friends - I don't think people have ever seen so many kids swimming off our boats - kids love jumping into water from fly bridge. Got the lily pads, floats and all the good stuff. Incredible how much cleaner water is, we're close to LaGuardia airport and without the jet wash boats and water staying so much cleaner.

Scott, that is a valid reason for not attending!

I am going and would like to host the cocktail party on Friday at 1800 hours. All welcome.

Bad planning. You should have known better back then. Never pop out children during boating season.

Well Scott we will miss you and wish you and Alice all the best! You are great parents!

We will be at Payne’s Thursday or Friday through Monday!

Hoping there isn’t a PAUSE in RI.

Look forward to seeing you!

Well good news I went last week and its still there hasn't sunk into the sea
Paynes was packed on the 3rd and 4th lucky for me I was on a mooring watching from a distance. On the 5th it cleared out and was fairly quiet for the rest of the week.

To my close friends who we enjoy spending time with on and off season, I am sorry that will have to pass on this year's Block Island trip!

Since Kathie's brother passed away from covid complications, she has been caring for her parents daily. BI travelers seem to be taking the covid precautionary measures too lightly and we can't risk it at this time!

Dan's comments are right in line with others I have heard in the last week.

Maybe we should all rethink this years trip and err on the side of caution?

We will get together at a better time soon!

Our gang is really dissappointed that we will not there!

Nick

Nick.

Sorry to learn of your loss.

The regular winter get togethers didn't, I guess couldn't, happen. We are living is different and challenging times.

Glory, is attending the NE Rendezvous. Do we have a Saturday night dinner plan?
Maybe we should gather the details on who is attending? And a head count?

Glory is 2 adults.

Sharon Jean will be attending, 2 adults.
We will be arriving early Saturday, and staying the week on a mooring near to Payne's.

When we were there last month, The Oar was doing a fantastic job
with their outside dining. They have many more tables than last year,
and they now offer a full menu. This could be a good dinner option for the
group depending on how many people are attending.

It looks like the 'Rona is claiming another victim. The aft bulkhead project has been continually delayed by material supply issues because of shutdowns and it's going to be near impossible to get Avenger seaworthy in the time remaining. I'm sorry I'm not going to be able to see everybody, I was really looking forward to this. I guess there's always Northeast '21. :(

That's a bummer! But I do want to see pictures of this aft bulkhead project. Hopefully we will make next year as well (would go this year if up to me), we decided to keep boat. Really enjoying the old gal this year.

When I saw Scott had responded, I would have bet anything it was going to include a quote from post #7 ;)

I'm glad to hear that you're keeping her. There's been a lot of fun times on that boat, and I'm sure there will be a lot more.

The bulkhead project, right now looks like a day boat.

Yeah, I know, call me a hypocrite. We started work at the end of February. Who'da thunk it would have ended up this way. The lower bulkhead has to come out too, but we don't want to cut it all apart without being ready to replace it. Don't want to take a chance on stuff changing shape any more than necessary.

I too will be arriving Saturday morning on a mooring very close to Sharon Jean .
Also agree with Eric about the Oar they have their act together.

Well it seems like a slightly attended event. I arrived today, dropped an anchor in the north end of the GSP. We are good with the Oar.

I will reach by phone in the morning.

There seems to be no shortage of boats here.

Safe travels.

Wish I was there. Everybody have a great time and be safe.

A few pics so I could live vicariously would be nice.
