Hey, here's what could be a fun idea...everybody has regrets about where they DIDN'T get to take their boat once the year is complete. How about getting proactive here? How about sounding off on a trip you want to RESOLVE to make this year?

For me, it would be somewhere a good bit further up the east coast of FL -- maybe Merritt I. So far I've gotten only as far north as Jupiter. Lots to see, I know.

What about you guys? So many great cruising areas, so little time!

Taking off for Seneca Il. around April 1. Plenty of seats are still available!!
Its only a "wee strech o' the legs" about 700 miles by river.
The RESOLUTION: not to beg for passengers any more :D Gators doing the food thing and I'll buy the fuel. Happy Holidays. ws

Didn't take the boat to fl. keys this winter. Next winter to the keys than back to west palm and make a hard right to the bahamas. Bill

Didn't take a trip with my day fishing. Doesnt matter where for me its with who. I will get him next year though. If I have to pick him up and bring him to Florida.

You gotta change your geography. It is to cold up there!

We have been from Mobile to Jacksonville and all the way down the St. Johns. Only thing is, we did not have enough time for R&R..... Resolution: I am going to stay closer to home to partake in the local bounty.

Resolved to get much further south when it gets cold. Didn't get south of SC this year. Enjoyed leaving the Chesapeake for NC/SC last Feb/Mar and hope to do it again this year. But, the big resolution is to move the boat to Fla/keys by next winter. Will drive down and check out my brother's new place on Big Pine the first week of Jan 07. Wouldn't be prudent to pass up free dockspace in the keys! Want to tow his flats boat behind the Hat to the Shark/Lostman river area and give him a week long snook fishing lesson :D . Once he gets hatterized, I won't have to tent camp at Willey Willey (or anywhere else in the everglades) anymore! Why would anyone sleep on the ground, when you can live on a Hat?????? Regards, Bob K

I promise this: when the subs done ('08) it'll go WAY south for good--Cozumel or S.A. ws
