The first few months are the hardest- figuring out where everything is, where are the electrical panels are, and getting everything to work like it's supposed to. It gets easier.[/QUOTELol, it has to. The big issue right now is I'm a long ways from home, with only a few tools...of course, maybe that will keep me from electrocuting myself ) The mechanic I found seems to have a great local reputation (former Hatteras employee), so I'm gong to have him fix as many of the survey observations as he feels like tackling. Hopefully that will set us up for a smooth delivery trip in October. Good news - I did a load of laundry this morning, and the boat is neither flooded nor on fire.

Could be the relay that drives the pump. Been there done that twice. There is a small relay card that powers up the pump. On ours it is located on stbd side of the bilge in front of the compressors. Make sure you have voltage at the pump.

Good point Dan. It has a fuse that kept blowing when the pump was upgraded (bigger motor) on my boat. I upped the fuse size slightly and all was good.

I looked in that box, and saw surprisingly little; I didn't see a fuse - maybe there was too much sweat running into my eyes. I'll check again. I did see the name "Edison" on a couple of components.

There are two small circuit boards. Maybe 1.5x2.5 inches. They are screw mounted and have pig tails that slide onto contacts. If you have two compressors your have two of the relay cards. I don't recall seeing fuses in the area but they could be there.

Found the fuse holder in the top of the box, fuse is fine. Couldn't get it back in because of the combination of the fiberglass "awning" over the boxes and the location of the house battery bank - had to just about lay across the batteries to squeeze my hand in. Access will be easier when I rip up the w-to-w carpet and get access to the outboard hatches. Would be great to get together Dan; would love to see your boat.

She's on the hard now and grimy. Hopefully we float again in Oct. and bring it back to Ft Myers. Then the deferred maintenance kicks in. More teak work, the stove blew up, and who knows what else.
