  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
41' CONVERTBLE-Series II (1986 - 1991)
Hello friends, after 25 yrs of waiting have finally bought a Hatteras sportfish - anybody know how I can get a brochure or spec sheet with dimensions, etc for a 1990 41 convertible? I am trying to get the dimensions so I can order a replacement bait freezer that was removed, and possibly repalce the refrigerator and the ice maker. The boat is still in AL and I am in LA.

Thanks!

There is a brochure archive on this site. If you don't find what you need there, call Hatteras.

Unless you get really lucky on the brochure archive, you will have to call Sam's or the factory for this one. You need dimensions for that, and those usually weren't in the brochures- I can't recall ever seeing one like that. If you can identify the model that was used in your boat, you may be able to work backwards if you can get data from the manufacturers of the applicance and figure out the dimensions.

FWIW, at least one of our forum members has had good luck with Summit Appliances in refitting refrigerator/freezer units to an older boat. They are very well-made and worth looking at. THIS forum member, (yours truly), being cheap, buys his refrigerators at Home Despot and throws them out when they start to get corroded. :D

I know that in the earlier bait-prep stations they used sub-zero brand freezers. Sub-zero still makes the unit and you can get 100%freezer, 100%refrigerator or a 50/50. I replaced it on mine and it worked like a charm. The boatyard can probably measure the cutout and a sub-zero website has the dimensions.

Did you buy the one with 3208's? If so then I understand your question a little better since that is the only 41C I've seen without the freezer in the cockpit.

I have an 1986 and am trying to finish the refit this year. The salon interior and galley are all that's left. I've been through a great many systems and if I can be of any help just ask away. I'm still learning and this site and the guys that are members have been fantastic!!!!

Before adding any additional weight I'd run her through her paces get a baseline and go from there.

The 1986-1990 41C model is awesome, they have an article in the archives at Sam's as well as a brochure all of which you can download.

After repainting mine I'm always asked if she is brand new. Makes ya feel kinda special. When taking other boaters out, they just look at you like it's their first time riding in any new machine. Smooooth!!!!

Have fun boating! garyd
