  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
43' DOUBLE CABIN (1970 - 1984)
Hello,
I need a replacement acrylic cover for the fluorescent light in the master head on a 1981 43' DCMY. It measures just under 54".
Anyone that has one for sale can contact me directly at ilovemyhatteras@hotmail.com.
Thanks!

Did you check with Sams Marine?

Yes, I checked with Sam's. They do not carry them.

Try a plastics shop. I have had similar pieces fabricated for under $100.00. If you have the old lens, even if broken, it would help the plastics fabrication shop duplicate the lens......good luck !

I finally gave up on looking for covers/lenses and got really nice replacements at home Depot. I know it's not original but at least they're "lite"!

I built a soffit and then installed halogen lights in that to replace the florescent.

Darn...If the Amiral sees this picture I'll end up with another project! Actually I really like what you've done and think it's an upgrade I too should embark on. Are the all 110v or did you manage to slip in a couple 12/32v's for anchor?

The only 32v light is the one you see in the mirror. It is an overhead fixture mounted over the toilet. I rarely use it as I now have a 3200 watt inverter. The great thing is that there are both 32v and 110v wires to the OEM fixture. That makes it easy to do whatever you'd like in that area as far as lighting.

My 32V is at one end of the flourescent thing but I might be able to make it work. I have an old Hart 3200 inverter so maybe could do some re and re etc. What inverter are you running? I haven't been able to find any "modern" 32/110 units?
Thanx

CaptnRick,
Would you be willing to share the phone number of the plastics shop you worked with? I have called several in my local area and I am not having any luck.
Thanks!
