Okay guys and gals, several of you asked to see Nancy Cay's insides and such after I posted the "Cruising the Gorge Pics". You asked for it, so here it is. Hope it doesn't make potential buyers who missed out "see" sick! :D

Now, ya'll seen enough? Should I break out the Kleenex? :p

VERY NICE! She brings back memories of my old 41. It was one of the best sea boats I've ever run. Very low center of gravity and great balance. She went through a lot for us!

Dang Bubba, you show a lot of class for a farm boy! :D

She's a sweetheart and definitely one of a kind. You'd have to see her and run her in person to truly appreciate how far ahead of her time she really was in 1965.

With the total refit in '93 from stem to stern along with new MerCruiser 7.4 Bluewaters, she's better than the day she left the factory. Oh yeah, she's been on a salt free diet all her life.

Thanks for the comments.

SWEET 41! I wish my 41 was that clean. Now, how about some pics of this 58TC you keep talking about?? Let's see some PICS!

I have to share a funny story with you of what happened after about 3 days of ownership of Nancy Cay.

I had been on the boat getting aquainted and checking everything out. I was looking through the dresser drawers in the master and found three framed prints in the bottom drawer. They were colored pencil prints of Smokey Mountain scenes and signed by a childhood friend by the name of Teresa Pennington. She has a gallery in Waynesville, NC. I actually grew up thinking she was my cousin because I had always known her parents as Uncle Ernest and Aunt Flora. She corrected me one day at the beach when I suggested it would be okay if I saw her naked since we were cousins! She quickly pointed out that we weren't related. Oh really?

I just figured Michelle had brought them from the house because I have several of Teresa's prints. When Michelle showed up later that afternoon, I asked her when she put the pictures on the boat. She replied "what pictures?".

Turns out these were left on the boat when the PO took possession on Lake Michigan 13 years earlier! You reckon it was destiny that brought me and ole' Nancy Cay together? Man was that weird or what?

BTW I didn't name the boat. I just never got around to renaming her. The PO's wife is named Nancy, and his middle name, believe it or not is Cay! As with most people I have bought or sold a boat with, I have become very good friends with these folks. Just had lunch with Warren today. Like I've said, boats bring people together. The best friends I have were the result of boat related meetings.

Okay, you asked for it! I think I have some on this computer somewhere, but they are pre-Freebird. She's an ugly duckling now, but she'll be a swan before too long.

Look for them in a little bit!

Okay, I'll confess, this is another boat that I looked at prior to Freebird. She's a sistership, but they look very much alike except Freebird has a brown gunwhale stripe/bottom and black canvas. Everything else from the arch on down is pretty dang close.

Really nice boat Randy. I like the aircraft style gauges on your helm, but I'm sorry to tell you that on an aircraft T.I.T. stands for Turbine Inlet Temperature, so it won't do what you expect it to. :D

I just looked at the pictures of the Nancy Cay and I'm on my second roll of Bounty towls. She's gorgeous. I think I'm in love. Can she cook?

Huh, T.I.T.? That one parted my hair! :D

Actually, the aircraft guages measure manifold pressure. The one on top has port and starboard needles that allows pinpoint synchronization, and the lower is for the generator.

The PO was a pilot and was very meticulous. He took possession of the boat when it had only 20 hours on the refit. He owned it for 13 years before his wife pressured him to get out of boating.

Women!!!!!

Can she cook? Check out the pics of "The Gorge" and look at what she's leaving in her wake!

Hey, once I get all my ducks in a row (or shot), she'll be on the market again. As of now, she's my home away from home.

You'll never find a nicer example of the breed.

great pics Freebird...your 41 is a good looking boat.

So someone tell me the difference between a 58 MY and a 58 TC??

Hell Randy She is SWEET she really does look Great. To think you were going to sell her to me for $25,000 ;) . I guess I have to wait now :D .

Sorry, the resolution on the pics wasn't good enough to really see what the gauges did, and I thought you might have seen aircraft engine instruments that said T.I.T. on them. They always make me do a double-take. This is why I stay out of the sandbar. Seriously though, really nice boat. If I was the Motor Yacht type I'd get out of marriage before I got out of that.

About $75,000 dollars! :D

The 58MY took the place of the 58TC as the 41TC took the place of the 41DC. The main differences are the 58TC is pretty, the 58MY looks like it ran into a brick wall and everything got pushed forward!

I looked at both, and I can honestly say I liked the 58TC better regardless of any price difference.
