My fly(bridge) is open....

....and ready to remove after a lot more hassle than I expected. I am now pulling the wires, shift cables, etc. in preparation for the move to a new location. I have loosened the nut on the back side of the wheel but can't seem to get the steering cable loose. What's the secret combination? The old girl is a 1966 28 SF. BTW, this week due to kindness of two members of this site, I tracked down 2 1/2 more 28' Hatts, for a total of 35. Thanks for the help. Howard in west Michigan

No answer for your steering problem BUT have to ask how you found only 1/2 a Hatt .

I thought that might get a comment! I got the name of a former owner of a 28 SF who sold his not that long ago. In this track-em down adventure, that is a pretty good lead, and may lead to another find, but it is too early to count it as a full one. BTW, re: the sterring cable, I just put the nut back on the wheel and pulled the cable up into the flybridge. More than one way to skin a Hatt! Howard in west Michigan

You never know shortly after buyng my boat I was looking into water tanks. I was talking with a local guy that makes them and he says well what boat do you have!!! He says I have a 34SC well one thing leads to another and he knew the owner of mine that was the 3rd previous!!! Gave me his #, 10 minutes later we were bs-ing. Its a small world sometmes
