Hatteras Model
Not Currently A Hatteras Owner
Moving 11/21/05 from Stuart Fl to Cape Canaveral FL. Harbortown Marina. I noticed several Hatteras' in this marina. Trying to find out if any of the owners are members of this forum.

here is the web for Harbortown.

Steve, Looks like a nice facility. How long do you think it will take you to get there?
George

depends on if we run outside or intercoastal. about 80 miles. have never traveled the intercoastal but expect multi no wake zones etc. hope seas will be nice so we can run outside.

Steve,
Between Palm City and Vero, there are only 3 no-wake zones (that I can recall): Roosevelt Bridge, South Hutcheson Island bridge, and in Ft. Pierce. That's half the trip. You could run up the IWC to Ft. Pierce and go outside from there since the Ft. Pierce inlet is better than the St. Lucie inlet. I've never been out the Cape Canaveral inlet. I went to Peck's Lake on the IWC this Sunday and there was a lot of debris in the surf on the ocean (logs, big piece of starboard, black plastic pipe, etc) and the water was black. We didn't see any of this debris in the St. Lucie enroute, so I don't know where it is coming from. Needless to say, we didn't go swimming.

Have a safe trip.
Mark

It used to take me 7 hours to go 100 miles to the Keys running the outside to Government cut and then down Biscayne Bay.

Thanks Mark.

from what NOAA is reporting it looks like an intercoastal trip all the way. 7-10 foot seas predicted.

Hey Steve 7'-10' that would make it Interesting for sure!!! Well have a good trip and I guess you will be able to do even more work on it since it will be closer????

It will make it easier having it closer. however we need to find a place to go and work as the marina does not allow owners to work on boats there. i think inside stuff we can get away with but outside refinishing and replacement of side salon windows will require alternate location.
