Hatteras Model
36' SPORT FISHERMAN (1983 - 1985)
hello all,

I am looking for a scale model of a 70s Hatteras sportfish for my girlfriends senior project. Looking for a semi-decent model for a good price.
Thanks
Adam R

I've never seen any Hatteras models. Wouldn't mind having a couple myself. Check with Hatteras, maybe they can help. You can also watch E-Bay, that was the source for the personally autographed Dale Earnhardt Hatteras T-shirt that Egaito turned me on to. I've never seen one on E-Bay though.

YottsmanWillie could probably make you one out of PlayDough! :D

PS Hey wait a minute! Your girlfriend's SENIOR project? Better leave them high schoolers alone there Bubba. 15 will get you 20! :D

NAH-- I'd CNC cut one out of aluminum billet--A REAL HATTERAS

Hey, can you do a 58TC? I would want mine without a periscope though! Think you can handle it? I'd probably go as high as $5.00 if you do a nice job!

I would hafta model the periscope on yer appendige-- pencil _ _ _ _ and whooboy!! try to collect thst five spot from ya will cost me $20 in phone calls.

I could also mount yer model on a nice piece of teak with the boat upside down with an oil slick around it :D

Okay, $20 then, since you're personalizing it for me! I'll pay half up front, to cover expenses, and the balance on a 20 year note at 1.5%.

Hey Adam,

Please accept my (our) apology for running off at the mouth. Let me know if you find a model. I'd love to have one of my 58TC.

BTW I've been "Looking for a semi-decent model for a good price" at every bar in Bradenton! The one's I've found have been less than semi-decent, and they cost more than I'm willing to spend!

They are not cheap by any stretch

That is WAY COOL. Where did you get that? Wait a minute, that's not a real Hatt with a fancy block job is it?

I saw one of the model guys at the boat show last year and you can find the people who make the model of boats in the back of most marine magazines but I called one time and they wanted $ 5,000.00  and 2-3 months , I said I wanted a small version not a real one ,,but thats what they charge , he went off to say how long it takes and how custom it is and how you can send in a picture..
I tell you what he probubly does is send the picture to the Phillipines where he's got his child labor camp set up and makes it there for 50 bucks most good wood work I ever seen is from small countrys out there that still have hard woods left and young people working the wood :o

Well if you really want a small version of the 70 but my 41c for $150,000.00 It's not just a pretty boat but you wont have to lift it up to dust underneath.

You're probably (undoubtedly, unfortunately) right about that. Hell, for that kind of money, we could take a cruise to the PI's and have one custom made using our boats for a model.

That would have been funnier if I'd said it! :D It's rare that I miss an opportunity to pitch my 41DC. Looks like you got me on that one!

ive seen the ones by captains models, 5k for a project...nah. Oh well i had to try, maybe ill build one for her.

thanks

Sorry Randy. I'm not actually looking to sell it either. But I saw the oppertunity to be a WA.

Yeah, I sort of figured that when I saw the price tag! :D

Checked out the link. Kind of scares me when there's a whole page of reasons why a price isn't listed.

I'll give em a call and let you all know how it turns out. I'd love to have a toy 58TC.

Oh, wait a minute, somebody's knocking on the door. It's the UPS guy, it's my Earnhardt Hatt shirt. I gotta sit down, oh wait, I am sitting down! I gotta git up and try it on!

Talk to ya'll later about this serious stuff, I gotta go back to the birthday party with my new present!!!

No one ever offers more than the asking price. I figure I could go down a bit if I have to.
