Some of those big convertibles, if they blindfolded you and you took it off below decks, you'd be hard put to know what you were aboard- MY or convertible. No port lights in most of them would give it away, but the luxury is always there.
As far as Tony's boat goes... Well, that is my ideal Hatteras.
Thanks Jim, our 45C is the ideal boat for us also right now because it has a great balance of size, draft, running and maintenance expense that works perfectly for our family. The extra size and expense of a 65C would be tough to manage right now for the time were afforded to use it with a young family and the boat 1170 miles away from home.
Like I mentioned before though, I do love the 65C and maybe when I grow up I can get one. Although to be perfectly honest, the 45C is all we really "Need", but that still doesn't change the fact of what I would maybe "Want" one day.
The grass is always greener, right? Watch, one day I will get a 65C and it's extra expense and I'll think. "Man that 45C we had was nice, not to Big, not too small, we should've never sold it"
Looks like we all hijack this thread. Back to the question on the 60 Viking, upon more thought, I really do like the layout, and don't mind the look. It's a very spacious and good use of space for a 60ft boat. That being said, I personally would stay clear for one reason, the MAN's. They are just too costly for my tastes. Now if you could find a repowered Viking 60 with CATS then I'd think it would be great.
