Miami Boat Show

I am scrambling to figure out the logistics of coming down. We want to and we have 70% shot at making it work. The General has a few days off - and the boat needs lots of 'stuff' - and the weather here in Michigan is ugly.

We (Sam's Marine) are trying to make plans to attend the Miami show in February. We were wondering how many of you might be planning to attend. Since Hurricane Wilma played havoc with the Lauderdale show back in October, we were curious if more people might be planning to attend Miami next month.
The hanginout(53C) will be there from Islamorada and will dock at Miami Beach Marina. We have friends coming down to stay with us on the boat. Looking forward to buying more stuff and doing the Beach.

Linda and I will be there. We try not to miss the Miami Show. I especially like looking at all of the vendor's displays in the Miami Beach Convention Center.

My wife and I will be there and bring another visiting couple. What about picking a time and place for Hatt owners and Steve to get together and "mix"? I know I would like to meet more of the "family"!

Great idea Norm. Monica and I try not to miss the Miami show. The timing is great as it gives us a reason to escape the NE winter for a couple of weeks. The possibility of an owner gathering sounds great. Anyone have any suggestions? Walt

Turns out I'll be in Ft. L on the 18th, so despite having more important things to do can pretty well guarantee I'll be down in Miami on Sunday. Sure hope I can meet people instead of finding stuff I "need." At least talk is cheap!

I'll be there (Mike Sofarelli).

I'm planning on attending. That's 2 in my crew.

Fanfare, i would love to talk with another 1966 owner. What day are you planning on being there. I am planning on the 18th.

I'll be in Tampa the first part of that week doing survey, so as long as we're in Florida, we've confirmed plans to be at the boat show. Ed (egaito in the forum) will be with me, so that's 2 of us. How and where is the best way/place to get tickets?

Has a forum get-together been planned?

Just found out that the Admiral can get the time off so we will be there on Sun. There will be 4 of us altogether. Has anyone planned a get together yet? Sounds like a great opportunity to meet and swap lies. (oops!! meant stories)
Fred

Maybe all of us should set up a meet. Maybe Sunday, about 4 pm or later, at the Sam's booth? I figure by then I'll be pretty tired, be ready for a drink, and probably need a lot of help carrying my loot to the car. You guys could come in really handy!

Where will the Sam's booth be?

HI,

We would love to have any Hatteras owners that are at the boat show to stop by and give us your opinions on the refit that we did to our 64' CPMY.
We will have it open for looking at the Hollywood Marina just north of the show. It's about 15 min away. Stop by, have a beer and give us your opinion.

Dave,

We would love to stop by. We will be visiting a friend in Hollywood who moors at Ruffy's on the ICW, so we will be in the area, probably on Wednesday. If you're not a tenant at Hollywood Marina, will you be there by Wednesday, which is the day before the show starts?

Unfortunately, we'll miss any meeting on Sunday because we have to fly back to Atlanta Saturday morning...bummer.

Dave,

Monica & I will be arriving in Ft. Lauderdale tues afternoon (2-14) and plan to stay in town for about a week. We would like to stop by your Hatteras at Hollywood marina. We kept a boat there a few years ago so we know exactly where it is. I'll call you to arrange a time & date that will be convienient to you..... Walt (732-991-5665)
