Medicine cabinet mirrors

Has anyone replaced the mirrors in their medicine cabinet doors?

Looks like the afromosia panel on the back of the door is glued on to the wooden frame that surrounds the mirror.

Can it be taken apart without damaging the frame?

I just replaced mine last year. No glue.

See the picture below that shows the screws on the side of the door. The "back" is the actual structural door, and the outside is 4 edge mouldings that are all screwed onto the back to hold the mirror to the door. Be sure to mark which pieces were top, bottom, left, right so you can get them back on correctly.

Oh yeah.... get the replacement mirror with a beveled edge too. Hard to see in the picture, but it adds a classy look to the door. You have to order it made and wait a couple days, but it's worth it. Order the bevel with enough width to cover the amount you want showing plus the amount covered by the door frames. I put a little plastic strip behind the mirror to get the exact right depth so the frame held it in snugly.

Thanks for the help. I don't have screws but there are - now that you pointed it out - about 5 nails set and filled on each frame piece. That is how it comes apart i'm sure. Door weighs about 20 pounds, but the nails hold i guess.

Just took a piece of hardwood and a light hammer and tapped two sides off. No glue at all. A little dab of clear silicone in the middle of each frame to keep the mirrors from rattling.

Just nailed, but i will put it back together with trim screws. They didn't exist when the boat was built.
