  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
46' CONVERTIBLE-Series I (1974 - 1981)
Looking for onan part# 149-1046. Rebuild kit for my weeping fuel pump. Cant find one. Any ideas?

Use an electric fuel pump and bypass that mechanical one.

Sorry to say the pump is gone. But honestly the reason I had it was because I converted to electric and never looked back. It’s an easy swap. Unbolt the mechanical pump and use a block off plate from a small block Chevy. $15 at auto parts store. Electric diesel fuel pump was $59 I think. Ground to engine block. Positive to single lug on fuel solenoid. Done.

Thanks. Any idea what kind d of pressure the electric pump needs to make?

This is the pump I used. Not a high pressure pump at all, but I believe it only needs to maintain supply to the injection pump and then that takes over. If I'm mistaken I'm sorry, but I can tell you this exact pump worked great on my MDJF and Jeg's is selling it for half of what I paid. At $28, it's not much of a gamble.

I used the same one on my 17.5kw Powertech in my motorhome. Works great.
