Marquipt wheels for stairs

The “red” wheels I mentioned 15 months ago have held up well and no problems with the bearings.

Found perfect replacement at Home Depot ($11/wheel) in grey urethane with those precision bearings.
Will need to toss out the stainless cylindrical bushing as the new wheels are 3/8in bored, but as the new wheels have actual bearings instead of just an axle bolt, it should work well if you just tighten down the casters to lock the hubs and let the precision bearings do their job.
(Part number SKU 251361) Grey wheel not as hot and spicy as Red but closer to OEM.

I have a Tracy ladder but same issue. I ended up buying caster wheels at Harbor Freight, after striking out at Lowes, and Home Depot. Grainger was a non-starter because the parts counter here in Fort Myers doesn't like to do OTC sales to non-commercial customers (at least, that's been my experience 3 different times). I mounted new wheels to replace the ones that got knocked off when we had a boat come thru after dark pulling a gigantic wake - Ladder has been re-worked with new chains and wheels. Storage will be a challenge, but probably going to hang it on outside of walkway.

I just replaced my wheels and ordered from marquipt by phone the were $30 a piece.
Not sure where you got that price.

Wanted to update this thread....

I had one of the stems/shafts break on one of my Marquipt caster wheels... really a weird failure.

Researched this forum and other general searches as I anticipated a $$$$ for the Marquipt replacement casters.

Called Marquipt this morning and have 4 brand new OEM casters on the way for $27.50 each...
