Well, I have a set of Marquipt Sea Stairs now...

Anyone have any spare Marquipt parts laying around?

I don't have the brackets for the hull side, mostly.

Unreal how expensive all of these parts are.

Apparently, they used to sell them through West Marine, and amazingly, the prices were somewhat reasonable then...

What other parts do you need?

Boat Owners Warehouse sells Marquipt parts and Marquipt is very proud of their products. Like Rusty said what do you need? I think I have a few spare parts not needed PM me.

I need the mounting brackets and pins, mainly.

I assume that I will get them from BOW or Marquipt directly, however I guess I just notice that they are pretty modular, and sometimes people have stuff lying around.

I may need a a new stand off, not sure yet.

Also I'll probably get the pins to mount them by the railing.

Those three items from Marquipt are like $1,100!

LOL

I think I have a pair of mounts that mount on the hull that the pins pass through. I'll be at the boat tomorrow to check for you. Those stand offs are expensive. Check Sailorman, If they have one I'd be happy to pick it up and send it with the ears if you want.

You can use washers inside the rubber tip to shim the stand off if it's close.

Thanks, I have to get the geometry of the things figured out, since my boat didn't come with them.

There is also an adjust end for the standoffs that I have seen, so you can fine tune it.

Excited to have these, but, like everything on the boat it is a lot of work to get right...

I have a brand new set of the storage pins if you’re interested.

I’ll check tomorrow when I get to the boat but I’m sure I have this complete set.

Do you/anyone have any pics of those installed?

I have a 43', but, handrail seems similar between the boats.

Also, I understand the wheels are supposed to come off for storage, but, they don't just pop off.

Is this a soak them in pb blaster and clean them up sort of thing?

These stairs are in good shape for their age, but, the are from 1986.

Still 15yrs newer than the rest of my boat!

The wheels do come off. You might have to use a screwdriver as encouragement with the PB blaster.

If you have them handy, none of the photos on the Marquipt site really show how the mounting system works, imo.

Can’t find the extra parts I thought I had, sorry. This is how my stairs are mounted. Underway the ladder sits on those pins at the bottom and the metal piece at the top folds out and the push pin goes through the hole at the top of the ladder to secure it. Hope that helps.

Mine is a little different setup than that, my brackets are against the side of the hull below the rub rail.

Different boats, different setups I suppose.

I am planning to mount mine below the rub rail as well. I may need a new standoff, cut differently, but I found some pics of a forum members 43DC with the same steps in the same spot, so it is doable.

It is just very close with the port light…
